Our client wanted to create a striking feature wall that would add style and visual interest to their living room. They’d chosen a beautiful geometric wallpaper — delicate, precisely patterned, and printed on thin, fragile paper.
The combination of uneven stone walls and a demanding paper meant this wasn’t a straightforward job. Any imperfection in the surface would telegraph through the paper. Any misalignment in the pattern would be immediately visible.
Our Approach

The key to hanging wallpaper on uneven walls is thorough preparation. We filled every dip and crack, sanded the surfaces smooth, then applied a 2000-grade heavy-duty lining paper. This creates a stable, even base that masks the wall’s irregularities. All furnishings were moved and covered before we started. Paste was kept well away from carpets and soft furnishings throughout.
Precision Hanging (Day 2)
The geometric pattern demanded exact alignment — every join, every repeat, every edge had to be precise. The thin, fragile paper required a steady hand and controlled paste application to avoid stretching, bubbling, or tearing. Our team worked methodically, checking alignment at every drop, trimming with precision, and keeping the workspace clean throughout.
The Result
The finished feature wall completely transformed the room. What was previously a plain, uneven surface is now a bold focal point that adds depth, pattern, and visual interest to the space. The geometric pattern sits flat and true — you’d never know the walls behind it are anything but perfectly straight.
