The Challenge
Trinity sits on Edinburgh’s north side, just a short walk from Victoria Park and within easy reach of Newhaven Harbour. Our client’s property is in a quiet street near Craighall Road.
After recent electrical upgrades, the room was left with walls full of holes and uneven patches. The client wanted to go bold with a deep blue colour — beautiful when done right, but unforgiving if the preparation isn’t perfect. Every imperfection shows through dark paint.
Our Approach
Wall Repairs and Preparation
We filled and smoothed every imperfection, including the area behind a removed radiator. The walls needed to be perfectly even before any colour could go on. All fixtures and floors were fully protected throughout.
Precision Painting
The ceiling was painted white to keep the space bright. The walls were hand-painted in the client’s chosen dark blue, with careful matching of roller and brushwork to avoid patchiness — especially important with deep colours. Skirting boards were finished in crisp white for contrast.
The Result
The bold blue walls brought a modern edge to the room, while the white trim and ceiling balanced the space beautifully. Thanks to thorough preparation, the finish is smooth and even throughout — no trace of the holes and patches that were there before. The client was thrilled with the transformation.
