Office and Workshop Bathroom Painting in Sighthill

The Challenge

This Sighthill bathroom serves a creative venue that will host art and craft workshops. The client wanted a space that felt beautiful and appropriate for visiting members of the public — practical, but full of character. The work had to be carried out around other ongoing renovation trades while businesses in the building remained open, requiring tidy and considerate site working at every stage.

Our Approach

1. Considerate site working. Each stage planned around live businesses and other trades, with access and disruption kept to a minimum.
2. Full repaint. Walls, ceilings, wainscot panelling, door, frames and skirtings prepared and finished in materials suited to a public-facing washroom.
3. Coordinated install. Once painting was complete, we coordinated the installation of the handmade tile splashback, handmade ceramic sink and reclaimed wood cabinet supplied by Fabode Ceramics and Woodwork.
4. Considered finishing. Painted lines and edges finished to complement the patterned floor, brass tap and artisan ceramics, so the painted surfaces support the handmade pieces rather than competing with them.

The Result

The completed bathroom is practical, characterful and full of personality. The freshly painted walls and panelling frame the handmade pieces from Fabode — brush-detail tile splashback, decorated ceramic sink and reclaimed wood cabinet — so the space reads as a single considered design fitting the workshop’s creative purpose.
