Warm interior painting and precise installation of a tropical wildlife mural in a home office near Holyrood Park, Edinburgh.
The Challenge
The mural needed to fit a feature wall beneath a sloping ceiling, so the layout and pattern had to be planned carefully before hanging. An unused fireplace opening also needed to be closed neatly and ventilated so the repaired area blended with the finished room.
Our Approach
- Protected the room and prepared the walls, filling and sanding minor imperfections.
- Closed the former fireplace opening and fitted a ventilation grille before decorating.
- Painted three walls in a warm matt finish to complement the mural palette.
- Measured and planned the mural layout around the sloping ceiling and wall edges.
- Installed the paste-the-wall mural with careful joins and pattern alignment across the full feature wall.
The Result
The finished office balances warm painted walls with a detailed tropical feature wall. Clean joins allow the mural to read as one continuous scene, while the concealed fireplace repair and crisp preparation keep the surrounding finish calm and practical for everyday use.
