The Challenge
As with many exterior decorating projects in Scotland, weather conditions were a key consideration. The existing paintwork was flaking and worn, so careful preparation and suitable exterior products were essential to achieve a long-lasting finish.
Our Approach
We carried out a full preparation and repainting process on the exterior ironwork.
Areas worked on: front exterior (1 downpipe) and rear exterior (2 downpipes).
Work carried out:
- Wire brushed all loose and flaking paint
- Sanded down surfaces to create a smooth base
- Applied exterior primer to the prepared downpipes
- Finished with Cream (PPG 1002-2) Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Gloss Paint
The Result
The ironwork was fully restored, giving the exterior a cleaner and more maintained appearance. The new coating improved the look of the property and provided durable, weather-resistant protection.
