We recently completed a bespoke wall panelling installation in the Gyle area, transforming an overlooked corner of a room into a standout feature. The challenge: conceal an unsightly cupboard door without compromising its function.

The Brief
The client wanted to upgrade the look of the space while keeping the cupboard accessible. Our solution needed to be both smart and stylish.

Material Selection
We chose an oak-effect acoustic slat wall panel—offering a modern finish with the added benefit of sound-dampening properties.

Detailed Prep Work

• Removed the door’s architrave and a section of skirting

• Took precise measurements to ensure the panel aligned perfectly while allowing the door to remain functional

Flawless Installation
We carefully installed the slatted panels, ensuring perfect alignment and a seamless finish. The door is now hidden in plain sight—discreet and accessible.

The Result
The corner now blends effortlessly with the room, upgraded with modern texture and warmth. The cupboard remains fully functional but is now visually part of the panelling design.
