The Challenge
Decorative panelling depends on accuracy. The mouldings and dado rail needed to be measured, aligned and installed cleanly so the panel layout felt balanced across the bedroom walls. Once fitted, the new timber also needed careful filling, sanding and priming so the final painted finish would look smooth and intentional rather than added on.
Our Approach
- Prepared the existing bedroom wall surfaces before the decorative work began.
- Installed the dado rail and mouldings to create a balanced panel layout.
- Filled nail holes, joints and small imperfections, then sanded the timber and surrounding surfaces.
- Primed the new mouldings before applying the selected painted finish.
- Maintained tidy working practices and kept the client updated throughout the project.
The Result
The finished bedrooms now have more character, structure and depth. The panelling gives the walls a classic architectural detail, while the coordinated paint finish keeps the rooms calm, elegant and easy to live with. Crisp preparation and careful installation make the new feature walls feel integrated with the rest of the space.
