Decorative bathroom wallpapering in a compact Currie flat, with careful preparation, clean pattern alignment and neat reinstatement of the bathroom fittings.
The Challenge
The bathroom was a compact space with several awkward details to work around, including the radiator, shower edge, shelving and a small wall-mounted cabinet. The wallpaper joins also needed to stay clean and discreet because any uneven edges would be easy to notice in a smaller room.
Our Approach
- Cleaned and prepared the two main walls and the narrow section beside the shower.
- Removed the shelving and small wall-mounted cabinet to give clear access to the wall surfaces.
- Raked out, filled and sanded minor cracks and holes to create a sound base.
- Installed the client-supplied paste-the-wall wallpaper with close attention to the radiator, shower area and existing fittings.
- Reinstated the shelving and cabinet once the wallpapering was complete.
- Left the bathroom clean and tidy after the work was finished.
The Result
The finished bathroom has a more characterful feel, with the decorative wallpaper adding pattern and colour without overwhelming the compact room. The joins are discreet, the edges around the fixtures are crisp, and the reinstated shelving and cabinet help the room feel complete again.
